when i am rendering this scene the grass stays black
its looks its not recieving lights
anyone can help please

Since you haven't specified your render engine, I'll guess it's mental ray.
1-use mr prim option in the rendering effects panel not buffer.
you could use geometry too but that is very expensive usually.
2-you have to use a mental ray material or even a standard in the mr parameters rollout in the HAF modifier.
3- if you are using vray, I recommend using vray fur instead since HAF doesn't really like vray.
