I just received this message from one of my friends . they unknowingly had a virus that went out to all of the people in their address book.
This virus (called jdbgmgr.exe) is not detected by Norton or McFee antivirus systems the virus stays quiet for 14 days before damaging the system . it is sent automatically by the messenger and by the address book.
Whether or not you sent e-mails to your contacts . I checked , I had the virus and deleted it
Here is how to check for the virus and how to get rid of it
Do this
Go to start ,Find or Search option.
In the files/folder option, write the name jdbgmgr.exe DO NOT OPEN IT
Be sure you search your c: drive .
Click “find now”
The virus has a little bear icon with the name jdbgmgr.exe
Right click with you mouse and delete it . it will then go to the Recycle Bin .
Go to the Recycle Bin and delete it there ,or empty the bin .
IF YOU FIND THE VIRUS YOU MUST CONTACT ALL THE PEOPLE IN YOUR ADDRESS BOOK SO THEY CAN ERADICATE IT IN THEIR OWN ADDRESS BOOKS.
SORRY ABOUT THIS ,SINCE I HAD THE VIRUS , I’M PRETTY SURE EVERYONE IN MY ADDRESS BOOK WILL HAVE IT
