Once again, we seem to be having a rash of uploads that are not in compliance with upload rules & policies of this site. If you want to keep your uploads from being deleted and you being warned or banned if it's a second or third offense, here is a brief guideline for all of you to follow:
1. A word about and to duplicate account holders. The rules here state you may only have 1 active account. We have, in the recent past, found a person here with 10 active accounts. Now he has none, and his IP has been banned. Get the picture?
2. A word about and to ratio cheaters. If you think you can get away with doctoring your client to improve your ratio by tricking the tracker, you can't. We've caught all of them, and their IP's banned. Don't do it if you want to remain a member here.
3. We like the members here to know what they are downloading, so an NFO, when available, is desirable to be included for all uploads. If an NFO is not available, a good description is required. Go to the software co. site and cut and paste the proper description. Weblinks only will be deleted on site. Anything less will be deleted on sight and the uploader warned or banned for multiple offenses.
4. Everything uploaded must be in a compressed format. WinRar is the preferred compression method. Anything uploaded larger than 200 mb's, must be split into not larger than 50 mb rar file pieces. Any ISO's or bin-cue format files not compressed in this manner will be deleted on sight and the uploader warned or banned for multiple offenses.
5. Search before you seed. There's no excuse for duplicate uploads. Any dupe files will be deleted on sight.
6. Seed your uploads all the way through until there are a minimum of 3 other seeders. If you know you can't, then don't upload. If you know your IP is proned to service outages, don't upload. Any unseeded torrents will be deleted on sight, the uploader warned or banned for multiple offenses, regardless of the reason.
7. Do not upload our torrents to other trackers. They have your passkey number embedded in them. If we catch you, you are banned for life. If we don't, you'll more than likely ban yourself in that there will be 50 people from another tracker downloading on your account. I know of 3 former member in the past month this has happened to. Don't be stupid.
8. There is a waiting period for all new members before getting uploader status. The tracker promotes you automatically when you have reached the appropriate time as a member, and proper upload statistics as set by the administrator. Don't ask to be promoted beforehand. It's not going to happen.
9. If you have a question about how to do something, I can almost guarantee it's been asked and answered 100 times before in either the FAQ section or in the forums. Check there before using the helpdesk or PMing a staff member. Read kiddies. It's all here!!
We have these rules to try and keep some order to the site. Try and remember that the staff here are all volunteers. We are here to help, not clean up after you. This is your community. Lets make it an enjoyable place for all.
