Grid Fills
Create a 4x4 document, Press Z to select the zoom tool, and zoom in to the maximum resolution (1600%).
Next, select the Pencil tool (B, or Shift+B), and draw two straight lines at the top and the left of the document
Next, go to Edit -> Define Pattern and save the file as Grid
, to actually use the grid in another document, open another document, and go to Edit -> Fill, and select the Grid file
