MAXWELL RENDER PLUGIN FOR CINEMA 4D R9.6+
Cinema 4D Render Options Settings:
-Cinemaxwell will read information from Cinema render options panel automatically for image resolution, and pixel aspect.
Zclip support
-MXCamera Tag controls Z Clipping planes. The blue plane is the Near plane and the red plane is the Far plane. Distances are measured from the camera position for the near and far location. The Clip Plane Size fields set the size of the clipping planes in the viewport. Zclip planes can be seen in the view port for location.
MXCAMERA Tag New Features
Cinemaxwell now supports:
-Cinema 4D Camera Film OffsetX and Film OffsetY are mapped
to Maxwell camera Shift Lens. Note that positive AND negative values are supported.
Maxwell Render Settings Object New Features
-All cameras in the scene are written to the MXS file.
-HDR format can be selected to save renders.
-All image output channels of Studio
-MultiLight
-New Cities List GUI for Physical Sky
-New Settings for Support of Cinema 4D Lights!
A new tab in the Maxwell Options panel and Render Settings object with detailed options to control the mapping of lights.
In the Maxwell Options panel, Lights tab, the number Round SpotLight Segments sets the number of sides of the cone base, from 5 to 24.
The cone material is a diffuse type, with the same color as the emitter ball.
The mapped lights can be hidden from camera and reflections/refractions using the two check boxes in the Lights section of Options panel and Render settings object.
-Supports Next Limit Simulens(tm) feature
A new tab in the Maxwell default options panel and in MXRender settings
object.
New Cinemaxwell Tags
-New tags: Hide To Reflection And Refractions and Hide to GI.
Supports Cinema 4D Lights
Automatic mapping of Cinema4D lights into Maxwell emitters
The light types mapped are:
1.Omni
2.Spot
3.Square Spot
4.Area : Disc, Rectangle, Sphere, Cylinder, Cube, Hemisphere.
5 Spline.
6 Parallel spot
7 Square parallel spot
The intensity is controlled with the Intensity slider, with values in Watts from 0 (0%) to 100000 (100%). The Color control sets the light color.
Omnis are translated into a sphere. Its size can be controlled with the Omni Light Radius value (in Cinema units) and the number of polygons with Omni Light Segments value.
Area lights are translated into the corresponding geometry. The size and shape of the object is set in Light->Details->Area Shape, SizeX, SizeY, SizeZ and Aspect Ratio.
Spots ('round' and square) are mapped into a cone (the shade) with diffuse material with an emitter ball inside. The size of the mapped cone in the scene is that of the spotlight gizmo in the Cinema4D viewport. The size and shape of the cone is set with Light->Details->"Outer Angle", "Aspect Ratio", and "Radius/Decay" (Choose Linear Falloff to move manually this slider). The distance of the emitter ball from the cone apex is set with "Inner Radius" slider (Choose Linear Falloff to use this slider
manually).
